It was on Sunday  the 18th August 2019 that the students of Matany Nursing and Midwifery School left for the Regional Games and Sports Competition organised in Ngora School of Nursing and Midwifery. The Journey  started at 11:15 am and they Team arrived at Ngora safely  at exactly 3:10 pm. The Exercise started with the verification of students immediately  at a time of arrival before having lunch so as to exclude the non students. There were only four schools involved in the competition; Matany NMTS, Ngora, Soroti, and Kumi school of Nursing and Midwifery. Matany had a Team of 40 students who participated in different activities. It started with Athletics on 19th August 2019 and ended 22nd  August 2019. 12 students of Nursing and Midwifery School – Matany qualified for Nationals which will be on 1st-7th of September 2019. The Sports Committee sat and Agreed that Matany NMTS will be Hosting the Regional Games and Sports next Year. They were cautioned to prepare in advance. There was good discipline and professional dressing code exhibited by the Team of Students from Matany NMTS which made a school a point of reference for Teaching and advising others after the competition. Appreciation to the Management of the Nursing and andMidwifery school Matany and the Hospital Administrtaion for the financial, spiritual and Moral support acorded to the Team which went to Ngora. Blessings to all. The Team was led by Mr. Emmanuel Akol- Clinical Instructor and Ms. Monica Clinical Instructor too. They reported back to the School safely  on 22nd August 2019 at  5:20 pm

It was on the 20th July 2019, that Moroto Catholic Diocese had Ordination of two major Seminarians to the order of the Diaconate.  It was after agood number of years that the Lord had the prayers of the Christians in the Diocese since 2004. This means then that there is need to pray for Vocations in the Diocese. The Holy M ass was presided over by Rt. Rev Bishop Guzzetti Damiano, Vicar General, Rt Rev. Fr. Paul Ngole and a big number of Diocesean and Apostolic priest in the Diocese of Moroto. The Holy Mass was animated by Mater Dei Parish Kangole Parishoners who had one of the Seminarians ordained -Domenic Alinga joined by a big number of other parishoners of thevarious Parishes in the Diocese of Moroto.
