Currently for FY 2022/2023, the Hospital Training Institution (HTI) has a student population of 124 and 2 drop out, 3 full time tutors, 3 full time Clinical Instructors, 5 part time teaching Staff, 3 Administrative staff, 13 Support staff and 10 Preceptors at the clinical site.
The HTI prioritized strengthening quality of training by continuous clinical area supervision, maintenance of HTI physical infrastructure and reduce costs, counselling and guidance of students, improved use of ICT in its annual plan.

Selection is completely merit-based and fair. Few slots are awarded on competitive basis provided the applicant meets the following conditions:

Admissions to the training school for the certificate course in Nursing and Midwifery are done yearly in July.
Call for applications are issued out through the site, social media and other announcement platforms. Applicants are vetted against the eligibility criteria and successful applicants are invited for an in-person interview and final shortlists are contacted.
The HTI has been supported by MoH, MoES and Development Partners have sponsored some students for Midwifery and Nurse training.
Merit-based scholarships are occasionally offered to students showing outstanding academic performance and strong character. Under represented communities and students with evident financial constraints are often assisted.
The School gets a lot of support from within and out, has good relationship with its Mother Hospital, Communities around, Napak District Local Government, National Bodies and External Partners.
